Pinot Noir 2010

Although 2010 was both slightly warmer and slightly earlier than average, the lack of temperature spikes and a moderate yield resulted in gentle, even ripening and good quality fruit.

This vintage provides both an attractively accessible array of sweet black cherry and plums and a more complex, almost brooding aroma of fresh game and dried Mediterranean herbs.

Velvet textures dominate the palate showing complexity and richness, a touch of smoky bacon and a long finish.

Since launching the 2002 vintage, a string of awards, including gold medals for the 2003, 2006 (Trophy for the best Tasmanian Red Wine) and 2007 vintages, culminated in 2009 Kelvedon Estate being awarded Tasmanian Vineyard of the Year by the Royal Agricultural Society.
